Area 18 Horse Trials Qualifier

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 7TH MAY 2018 – Entries by 13th April 2018.  Please contact Caroline Arkell as soon as possible if you wish to represent Evenlode Riding Club as a team member or as an individual and at what level.

Entry fees must be paid by 12th April 2018 to Evenlode Riding Club. You must be a fully paid up member of Evenlode Riding Club by 12th April 2018 to enter.

To officially enter the Area HT Qualifer Evenlode Riding Club will also have to provide the following: 2 helpers for one team entered, 3 helpers for 2 teams entered and 4 helpers for 3 teams entered.  Please advise Caroline if you have “helpers” who will offer their services on the day as names required to go on entry form!!

There are classes for Seniors and Juniors. Please check horse/pony & rider eligibility for classes listed below.  (These can be found on page 94 of BRC Members Handbook 2018 which can be downloaded but you can also check with your Team Manager before the entries go in).

The Area 18 Qualifier Classes for either a team of 4 or individuals are:

HT 80
HT 90
HT 100
HT 100+

Entry Fee: £70.00 per horse/pony  (Please note that in addition to your entry fee ERC pays the official Prelim Team entry of £52 per team or £13.50 per individual as it is an Area 18 Qualifier).

Due on the day will be a Start Fee of £5.00 per horse and a Number bib deposit of £20 to be returned when number bib returned intact!

It is very important that your horse’s passport with flu vacs are up to date, these will be checked at the competition and if they are out of date you will not be able to compete.

Hats must be the correct standard, these will be checked and a 2018 turquoise tag applied where necessary.  A body protector Level 3 (purple label) which has 2009 or after label and a medical armband are all compulsory for the xc.  Stop watches are permitted for HT classes.

It would be fantastic to have teams and individuals representing all the levels for this, as such a local event, but please check that you are eligible and available for the Championships before you enter as if you qualify and then it is found you are not eligible and on a team which has qualified your place cannot be replaced.

If you are interested, seniors please contact Caroline Arkell ([email protected]), juniors please contact Christine Lovat ([email protected]).
