ERC Summer Dressage 2015

Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre
9th July

We had another lovely sunny evening for our second summer dressage show at Bourton-on-the-Water. Thanks to all our judges, writers, stewards, scorers, secretary and all those who helped put up and take down the arenas. If you haven’t yet been to one of these shows do think about entering our final one on 13th August. They offer a great opportunity to get young horses or nervous riders out and about for the Intro and Prelim tests but are equally popular with some of our more experienced combinations in the Novice and Elementary classes. Come along and have a go!

It certainly was a SUMMER dressage show for the first of ERC’s 2015 summer evening dressage shows. The weather was perfect and horses, riders and arenas were all looking very smart in the evening sunlight. Thanks to all our judges, writers, scorers, stewards and secretary for all their hard work and to landowners Leanne and Justin Launchbury for the use of their very flat field. One of only a few in the area!! Thanks also to the ERC committee members who came to set up the night before, as well as running the show and tidying up afterwards.

ERC Dressage Series 2014-15

Lyneham Heath Equestrian
15th February

Our final ERC show of this winter dressage season was another successful (and dry!) day and we had some worthy winners in our Championship. These talented riders were the highest points scorers across the three shows with Lucy Hall taking the top spot in the Junior section and Isabelle Mangan in the seniors. Well done to both of you as well as to those in 2nd and 3rd place in each section. Championship results are below along with the class results for this show.

Thanks once again to Sam Sandberg and her team at Lyneham who always prepare the facilities so well for us.

Here are some words from our senior championship winner, Isabelle Mangan…

“I am absolutely thrilled to have won the Winter Dressage Series, what a brilliant competitiion Evenlode Riding Club put on. So well run and incredibly friendly and laid back. A very big thank you to Jayne, Paul and Sue for all their incredible hard work and standing out there in all weathers! We were incredibly lucky to also have the facility of Lyneham  to strut our stuff in their lovely indoor. Can’t recommend entering for next years enough.”

Here are a few words from organiser Jayne Stone, to whom we are very grateful for agreeing to run this series of shows for us!!

“Just a note to say what a great day we had at our second dressage show at Lyneham.  I would like to say a big thank you to all my wonderful helpers who made it such a success – Caroline, Lucy, Karen, Paul (best scorer in the world!!), Sue & Rosie & to Katie who kept the kettle on & kept us all going & warm. Everyone seemed to have an enjoyable day even though at times it felt as if we had no fingers or toes!!!  Looking forward to the next show on SUNDAY 15TH FEBRUARY – so hope to see you there.

Best wishes Jayne”
