Evenlode Riding Club is a British Riding Clubs affiliated organisation which was formed in March 1956 to provide training opportunities and competitions for riders in the Cotswolds, including those interested in dressage, showjumping and eventing, or horse trials as it was known then.

This friendly club is run entirely by volunteers and has in the region of 80 members. We aim to hold regular training sessions in dressage, showjumping and cross-country at venues in the local area using popular and talented trainers to help our members get the best out of their horses. We also run both a summer and winter dressage series of unaffiliated shows for riders from beginner to elementary level. In addition we send teams and individuals to represent the club at area level competitions (BRC Area 18), with the aim to qualify and compete at the various National Championships that take place throughout the year in the core equestrian disciplines.

Please use this website to find out more about Membership of Evenlode Riding Club, to see what we have going on in our Events Calendar and to find out who to Contact if you have any questions. Do follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out what we get up to! We are also always open to new ideas for events/training etc (mounted and unmounted) so please contact us with your suggestions.

June 2024

Sunday 16th June – our very popular training day at the Unicorn Centre, Stow on the Wold is back! Choose flatwork with either Caroline Princz or Matt Jenkins –  and/or poles/gridwork with Abby Lloyd.

Caroline Princz has been an ERC dressage trainer for many years and is well known to our members. She has competed up to Advanced Medium and is currently based with Emilie Faurie with her young horse Ferdi (competing at Medium level).

Matt Jenkins  has a wealth of experience – both competing and teaching riders from all abilities.  Matt has ridden for some of the country’s top Grand Prix riders and trained with Olympic competitors such as Emile Faurie.

Abby Lloyd has been a regular trainer for Evenlode for a while now and her clinics have proved extremely popular.

Click here to book – please add to the notes the level you are training at for flatwork and the height you are jumping if you do grids.   Also if there are any times you can’t do – we will try our best to provide suitable times for you with not too long to hang around if you are doing both.
