Blenheim Palace Eventer’s Challenge - September 2024
In September, two teams represented Evenlode at the beautiful Blenheim Palace Eventer’s
Challenge. Our 90 cm team comprised Merlin Perlo, Alice Collins-Youngs, Chloe Izod and Cassie Greenhill. All completed with Merlin doing a fantastic double clear and with only 2.4 time penalties, finished in 40th place out of 170 starters! It just goes to show the high standard of competition. In the 100 cm class, Lara Gascoyne and Templar Esprit took 1st place individually, with the team consisting of Lara, Laura Avery, Erin Angel and Vanessa Hartley all completing. Thanks for Laura and Erin for standing in for Vicky and Dom. Congratulations to you all!
Show jumping championships at Lincoln - August 2024
Chloe Izod represented Evenlode and produced 2 super clear rounds to finish 9th overall. Well done Chloe!
Winter Area 18 Novice Dressage qualifier, 27 October, Hartpury
Individual riders Eleanore Trotter and Lucy Hall both had a fab day coming 2nd in their classes - very well done to you both. Our team of Erin Angel, Katie Jones and Beth Woodward also had a great day with a team 2nd, 7th and 11th respectively, coming 8th overall. A great achievement without having a score in hand to drop.
SEIB Combined Championship, 5 October, Aston-Le-Walls
Beth Woodward and Lucy Jewitt headed to Aston-Le-Walls at the beginning of October for the SEIB Combined Championships. Beth and Jess did an excellent dressage test for a score 29.1 but added an unfortunate 4 faults show jumping to come fourth individually. Lucy and Gordon warmed up nicely but had an unfortunate incident with the arena boards mid test. However they jumped a nice clear show jumping round to come 8th overall. Well done to you both!
